Why Real Madrid should sign Jadon Sancho for the future
As per Spanish outlet Dario Madridista (h/t Daily Mail), Real Madrid have joined the race to sign English forward Jadon Sancho in the summer.
Sancho, 20, has established himself as one of the hottest young properties in Europe after two highly-impressive campaigns with German giants Borussia Dortmund. Since leaving Manchester City academy in the summer of 2017, the winger has gone on from strength to strength.
His achievements in the past two years are no mean feat for a 20-year-old player and he is considered to be a star in the making. His impressive performances have attracted a lot of attention from different clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea, as per the report.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have returned to their best after a disastrous 2018/19 season. The arrival of Zinedine Zidane for his second stint as the Royal Whites’ boss has brought positivity into the team and they have done a better job this season so far.
Los Blancos’ midfield has always been at its best with the likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric Casemiro and Isco playing a major role. And their defence has also come to the fore with Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane doing a stellar job to protect their goal.
However, their attacking unit has not fulfilled its potential, with Eden Hazard forced to be on the sidelines for the majority of the season. Karim Benzema, who started the season on a high note, has failed to deliver in the latter stages and Gareth Bale has been in an out of the squad for a long while.
Thus, the manager should look to strengthen his attack by bringing in reinforcements in the form of youngsters for the future and Jadon Sancho could be a perfect fit for the squad.
Sancho’s performance has made him earn rave reviews as he has single-handedly won several games for the German outfit. In 34 Bundesliga games last term, he racked up 13 goals and 17 assists and has continued the form this season, contributing with 16 goals and 18 assists in 35 games across all competitions.
A talented youngster, he would be a huge boost to Real Madrid’s squad in the future and his qualities can never be doubted. At such a young age, he has proved to be influential for a top-flight team and with further experience, he can be a crucial player for the La Liga side.
