Saurav Gurjar of Indus Sher apparently leaked the finale of the Great American Bash with Keith Lee defeating Adam Cole
Indus Sher member Saurav Gurjar might have leaked the result of Adam Cole vs Keith Lee from the Great American Bash.
The NXT star posted an image from the clash which sees Lee celebrate the title win. The Indus Sher member quickly deleted his Instagram story from that moment, however, many outlets shared this.
This isn’t the first time something like this has been leaked, especially given WWE’s programming schedule.
The promotion is taping some shows in advance and there are bound to be some leaks regarding results.
However, this was a different kind of leak. Normally it is from a source but Gurjar posting this could have been something that the WWE planned to do.
NXT and AEW Dynamite have been at loggerheads regarding the Wednesday night wars. Until recently, it was AEW picking up the win but NXT turned things around a couple of weeks back. WWE also took a shot at AEW recently with their Great American Bash.
Special put together on short notice
The Great American Bash was a special partly created by the legendary Dusty Rhodes. His son, Cody, is on AEW and they decided to bring up Fyter Fest on Wednesday.
WWE put together the Bash on short notice and it didn’t even feature a lot of top fights. While Fyter Fest was a PPV and that was changed into a two-week event due to the coronavirus, the Great American Bash just seemed like a short-notice event put up.
Also, this was more than a shot at Cody as the Bash should have been a proper PPV rather than something to fill-up NXT matches.
Lee gets WWE the win
In a surprising turn of events, WWE’s Great American Bash Day One actually got better viewership than Fyter Fest.
WWE has been trying to get the better of AEW on Wednesdays and the leak might be another way to get the win.
Lee is one of the stars who has been given a huge push by WWE. He is the North American Champion and beating Cole would also make him the NXT champion.
Lee would create history by becoming the first NXT star to hold two individual belts at the same time, and people would want to tune in for that.
The Limitless One’s rise is certainly something incredible and that started from the last Survivor Series. Lee has already defeated several of the biggest names on AEW, and there is no one bigger than Cole.
The leaders of the Undisputed Era is the longest-reigning NXT champion, and this could be his last clash in the promotion.
The Era should be moving soon after dominating NXT and it will be interesting to see what happens next with them.
Jon Moxley was to defend his AEW title against Brian Cage at Fyter Fest. However, he is out of the equation and is under quarantine. Renee Young of WWE tested positive for Covid-19 and her husband, Moxley, has to stay isolated.
WWE might have planned this out well, and even if this was a real leak, the only winner from all this is WWE.
