Why Sonya Deville leaving WWE instead of Mandy Rose is the need of the hour

Mandy Rose or Sonya Deville could be leaving WWE after SummerSlam 2020

Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose will clash at SummerSlam and one of them will be leaving WWE after this match.

Deville came out on SmackDown and confirmed that their match wouldn’t be a hair vs hair match but a loser quits WWE match.

It will also be a no DQ match so there should be some weapons used in this outing. Deville and Rose have built a huge rivalry building up since they split up and a hair vs hair match seemed to be right at that time.

However, things took a turn for the worse over the past week. Deville was the victim of a failed kidnapping attempt in her home.

She was with Rose at the time and the pair were able to drive away to safety. The police nabbed the perpetrator and the man in question had stalked Deville on social media previously.

While this was a scary incident for Deville, she still featured on SmackDown and cut a brilliant promo.

Deville might be in the form of her life on the microphone but this could be the right time for her to get a loss.

Why Deville should be the one leaving WWE

First things first, these ‘loser quits WWE’ matches aren’t always a guarantee that a wrestler is leaving WWE.

WWE always finds a way for them to come back and it would be a major surprise if either Deville or Rose actually do leave the WWE for good.

Their rivalry has been great over the past few months and both are in their primes. Rose and Deville might need some more work in the ring, but the pair are definitely important members of SmackDown now.

While Deville might have had the upper hand on Rose in their recent meetings, it might make sense for her to get the loss at SummerSlam.

She might still be affected mentally from all that happened to her regarding the kidnapping attempt. Deville could use some time off from TV and WWE as a whole to gather herself. She has overcome many odds in the past and is the first openly gay WWE star too.

She also had an MMA career before transitioning to WWE, and a bit of time off could help her recover and gather her thoughts.

Of course, losing this match wouldn’t be an end to her WWE career and she could still be around the roster but not feature on any storylines.

WWE has to take care of their stars and this incident with Deville could have turned out horrible for her.

It is a testament that she was back in the ring just a few days later, and a break could be the right thing for the Pride Fighter.
