The Miz has been seen being in a wheelchair with John Morrison for many weeks on WWE RAW
Former WWE Champion The Miz has been seen in a different role on WWE RAW over the last few weeks in a wheelchair.
After winning the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber earlier this year, he was moved into a tag team storyline with John Morrison. He lost the WWE title to current champion Bobby Lashley on RAW. Despite the topsy turvy year, the Mr. Money in the Bank 2020 has had a successful year in the ring, until he suffered a bad injury.
He was rumored to be off WWE television, but featured in a new dynamic supporting Morrison in a wheelchair.
The Miz suffered his first-ever serious injury in his WWE career facing Damian Priest in a Lumberjack Match at WrestleMania Backlash.
An ACL injury is a tear or sprain of the anterior cruciate ligament. The ligament connects the thigh bone to the shin. This is a commonality in sports, as many athletes have stayed off the radar for upto a year due to long rehabilitation. The injury will come as a big blow to him considering his budding partnership with John Morrison. Speaking about his injury, he said:
“I don’t expect to be out nine months. As a matter of fact, I was on Monday Night RAW last week and I plan on being on Monday Night RAW next week. Now, when will I have a real match? I don’t know. That’s for the doctors to decide and figure out. But I feel like a million bucks, and the way my headspace is, I don’t like to be gone for long.”
Despite his injury, the eight-time Intercontinental Champion has entertained fans rolling around the ring in a wheelchair. He was seen last month distracting Randy Orton in his MITB qualifying match against John Morrison, by spraying water in his eyes. Morrison beat Orton and qualified for Money in the Bank ladder match.
Since then, he has featured regularly in a limited capacity through the wheelchair. The Miz is one of the veterans in the company and has been a star performer with his wife, Maryse.
Is The Miz a Future Hall of Famer?
He began as a stranger on “The Real World: Back to New York,” and moved into WWE with the fame. He eventually began as a lanky mohawkian wrestler with John Morrison, but found his feet as a singles wrestler. The Miz won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match in July 2010 and cashed it in on Randy Orton to give him his first WWE Championship.
Miz captured the Money in the Bank contract for a second time in 2020 and cashed in on Drew McIntyre at Elimination Chamber to win his second gold. He is also the host of “Miz TV,” which was a show on RAW usually featuring exciting segments.
The Miz also has won the Intercontinental Championship eight times, the United States Championship twice, the World Tag Team Championship twice, the Raw Tag Team Championship four times, and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship twice. This accounts to 20 major titles in WWE.
The Miz has a lot left in the tank and he continues to perform to the highest standards till date. In our opinion, he is surely a future legend in WWE and definitely a WWE Hall of Famer.
