Eden Hazard

Every summer, Eden Hazard is rumoured to be on Madrid’s wishlist. The case remains the same this time around as well. Once again, the Belgian has been linked with the Champions League winners. The Belgian attacker insists he is only focused on the World Cup right now but wants clarity over whether or not Antonio Conte will be in charge at Chelsea before committing to the club on his return from Russia.

The Chelsea manager has a year left on his contract but there is no certainty over his future at the club. If Conte does make the move to another club, Eden Hazard could be seen leaving Stamford Bridge.

The £200,000-a-week attacker joined the club from French club Lille in 2012 and has gone on to make a total of 208 appearances, scoring 69 goals and providing 39 assists. Hazard has easily been Chelsea’s best player over the last three years. The Belgian winger often drags them out of the tightest situations, single-handedly carrying the team.

The Belgian has won two Premier League titles with the Blues and pretty much every other domestic cup out there, except the Champions League. Hazard also won the PFA Player Of the Year for the club in 2014/15.

The former Lille man made 34 appearances in the league this past season, scoring 12 goals and providing 4 assists, averaging 0.33 goals per match. Hazard often glides past players with his exceptional dribbling ability and close control. He is one of the best dribblers out there and also one of the most-fouled players in the Premier League.

Hazard’s slick movement on the ball often makes it hard for defenders to make a tackle. He is fantastic at holding onto the ball, making the run and releasing it to a teammate.

Hazard scored a penalty to help Chelsea to a 1-0 win against Manchester United in the FA Cup final this season. Over the years, he has scored a number of important goals for Chelsea. The 27-year-old will surely become a star if he makes the move to Real Madrid.

With Gareth Bale’s future uncertain at the club, Hazard would be a perfect replacement for the Welsh Wizard. A number of Real Madrid players are ageing, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. Florentino Perez will want to bring in top-class replacements for his prized assets. This could just be the summer that Eden Hazard finally makes the move to Real Madrid.
