Dead by Daylight is a multi-platform game that’s been launched several years back all over the world. Dead by Daylight Mobile version has been banned in India recently. Players and fans are shocked as the developers removed Dead by Daylight from both Google Play Store and App Store. The developers issued a notice and stated that the game will be removed immediately as per the instructions from the Government of India. Dead by Daylight Mobile version in India was just launched 15 days back and all of a sudden the game has been removed from the Google Play Store and App Store. Here are the reasons for the Dead by Daylight Ban and Removal in India.
According to the developers, Dead by Daylight has been removed as the GOI has found the title breached their protocols. Further, it’s also known that the game’s title has been somehow linked with Chinese organizations. Even the developers of Dead by Daylight Mobile, Netease, are based from China.
All these have prompted the team of Dead by Daylight to remove the mobile app from stores. This is an interim order from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in India. NetEase developers are based in China and this is the major reason for the survival horror game getting removed in India.
Earlier, the GOI also banned several Chinese games including the ever-popular battle royale games like PUBG, BGMI, and Free Fire. Games from China are getting banned in India and the main reason is the Chinese developers ask for personal information and details. Mobile games that are associated with Chinese servers and developers won’t be available in India.
These are all the major reasons for Dead by Daylight Mobile getting removed here. And the GOI of India is expected to continue with its terms and conditions. We are not sure whether the Dead by Daylight Mobile app will return to Play Store and App Store or not. Another update from the developers can be expected in the next couple of days.
As Dead by Daylight is removed from mobile versions, fans can continue to play the game on other compatible devices. You can play Dead by Daylight on PC via Steam. Even the game is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and XBOX Series. You can play on these consoles before the mobile version returns. Even if Dead by Daylight doesn’t release again for mobile, you can play on these supported devices.
As of now, no updates regarding the same are available. The game has just been removed and only if the Indian government permits to the developers, you can expect Dead by Daylight for Mobile. Till then, Dead by Daylight won’t be coming to Play Store and App Store. The developers have also confirmed that another update regarding the same is expected in the coming days and this can be expected within two weeks. The game has been removed as per the orders of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY). This is not a good sign to the makers of Dead by Daylight as the game’s arrival in stores seems impossible.
