Predicted 4-2-3-1 Liverpool XI to face Watford in the Premier League

Liverpool have been in red-hot form this season in the Premier League and romped home to a comfortable 2-0 win over Fulham before the international break.

The Reds currently sit 2nd in the Premier League standings, just a couple of points behind table-toppers Manchester City and they will be expected to continue their unbeaten run when they make the trip to the Vicarage Road to face Watford on Saturday.

Watford have just lost a bit of momentum with a defeat and a draw against Newcastle and Southampton in recent weeks and Jurgen Klopp’s men will be looking to take full advantage of their dip in form.

Team News

Jordan Henderson is yet to recover fully from his thigh injury and is likely to miss out on Saturday while Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is a long-term absentee with a torn cruciate ligament.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Predicted XI

1. Alisson (GK)

He made some good saves in the last game against Fulham and has always been a reliable presence between the sticks for the Reds.

2. Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

He hasn’t been doing well in recent weeks and should aim to find his feet in the clash against Watford.

3. Joe Gomez (CB)

The Englishman has put in multiple solid shifts at the back for the Reds and his ball-playing ability is a valuable asset to the team.

4. Virgil van Dijk (CB)

The Dutchman is the leader of Liverpool’s backline and there is no way that Klopp would bench him for this game.

5. Andrew Robertson (LB)

The Scotsman has contributed equally to both defence and attack and he will be expected to deliver the goods once again on Saturday.

6. Georginio Wijnaldum (CDM)

He has been one of the pivots of Liverpool’s midfield and has impressed with his all-round abilities.

7. Fabinho (CDM)

The Brazilian has improved quite a lot since making his debut last month and Klopp should continue to rely on him in the absence of Henderson.

8. Xherdan Shaqiri (RW)

The Swiss international has been in blistering form in the Premier League and also during the international break. Klopp should continue to hand him more starts.

9. Sadio Mane (LW)

He has always been a lively presence down the left and will have his work cut out against Kiko Femenia.

10. Roberto Firmino (CAM)

The Brazilian is shown that he is more than capable of operating as the central playmaker and Liverpool will bank on him to create chances in the final third.
