Roger Federer suffered a knee injury during the grass-court season last year. The 20-time Grand Slam champion is currently recuperating after undergoing surgery on his joint. He is striving hard to regain full fitness so that he can get back on the court to enthrall his fans all over the world. We might see the legend make a return at the US Open later in the year.

The 40-year-old recently arrived at the Wimbledon 2022 event on Sunday to celebrate the centenary of the famous Centre Court. Federer is an eight-time Wimbledon champion and one of the greatest ambassadors of the sport. He was invited by the All-England Club to commemorate the auspicious occasion.

Federer arrived at the court dressed in a black suit. He was looking dapper and the crowd erupted in euphoria at the glimpse of the star player.

Roger Federer became the Wimbledon junior champion in 1998. His first major singles title came at Wimbledon back in 2003, when he was just 21 years old.

The Swiss superstar went on to successfully defend his title for the next four years. After missing out in 2008, he won the title for the sixth time in 2009. Three years later, he once again won the coveted title. Federer’s last victory at the most prestigious Grand Slam in tennis came in 2017. He holds the joint record for most consecutive title wins in the Open era alongside Bjorn Born.
