The Winston-Salem Open final is almost upon us. The two finalists Laslo Djere and Adrian Mannarino will be looking forward to winning the ATP Masters 250 tournament before beginning their US Open campaigns.
Adrian Mannarino’s run at the Winston-Salem Open 2022
The Frenchman has displayed some fine tennis at the Winston-Salem Open and deservingly reached the final. Mannarino will eye his second ATP Tour title and he will certainly take confidence from his convincing victories in the last few matches. He has lost nine of his 10 prior ATP finals as his only win came in 2019 on Rosmalen grass.
The 34-year-old has just dropped one set in the tournament. That came in the first match, in the round of 64 against Christopher O’Connell. Mannarino secured comfortable wins against Emil Ruusuvuori and Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the following two rounds. In the quarterfinal, Mannarino defeated the favorite Maxime Cressy. The semifinal match against Botic van de Zandschulp was also a tough one but Mannarino made it look easy as he upset the Dutchman 6-0, 6-4.

The Serbian has reached his fourth career ATP final and first in 2022. He has won titles at Rio in 2019 and Sardegna in 2020. This would be his third ATP tour title win if he can pull it off against the veteran.
Djere’s matches have all gone into the third set except his semifinal match against Marc-Andrea Huesler 7-6 (7-3, 7-6(7-5). The 27-year-old has defeated the likes of David Goffin, Joao Sousa, Jason Kubler, Richard Gasquet, and obviously, Marc-Andrea Huesler.

Laslo Djere and Adrian Mannarino have not faced each other before. Therefore, the head-to-head scoreline between them stands at 0-0.
Prediction: Adrian Mannarino to win in three sets.
