Rising to Prominence

Fortnite is rising to prominence in a lucrative market. Out of 7.6 billion people on the planet, there are over 2.2 billion gamers. This happens to include mobile gaming, social gaming and more. You also have billions of viewers. If you look at Epic Games, you will soon see that they were responsible for publishing Fortnite. They attract players to the game by making it free for everyone to play.

They also sell V Bucks to players. This doesn’t cost a lot but you can spend it on any customisation and enhancements that you may need.

None of these influence the performance of the character but they do impact the accuracy and pace of the game. A lot of this comes down to the skill of the competitor. This comes down to the theme of a lot of eSports titles.

Getting a Competitive Edge

So a lot of people wonder, what is eSports? Why are they so popular and why is Fortnite helping to steer the helm? At the end of the day, they are defined as being highly competitive tournaments and they involve having electronic games. This usually happens amongst competitors.

Players happen to compete in leagues or they play for an audience on a live streaming service. This happens in exchange for payment.

This can range from millions to billions, depending on whether or not the player is successful in their venture. It has been reported that the North of America Championship Series now gives their players a salary of over $320,000 and this means that 70% of the players will work according to their contract.

There are some top teams out there and they bring in millions every single year. This is very similar to the top teams that are out there, including Evil Geniuses and their earnings happen to rival La Liga.

When you look at the recent prize pools, you will soon see that they are growing more and more by the year and this is amazing, to say the least. Who knows what the future holds, but for eSports, it’s looking bright.
