According to a report from the Daily Mail, Wolves are eyeing a £10m swoop for Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho.
The 19-year-old has been involved in Liverpool’s first-team squad and featured twice this season, making his debut against Wolves in the FA Cup and his Premier League bow against Crystal Palace. However, his existing contract is set to expire next summer and the teenager has shown no indication of extending his stay at Anfield.
Thus, Liverpool are ready to offload Rafael Camacho this summer. The report claims AC Milan and Benfica have also shown interest in the midfielder, but Wolves have monitored his progress since last year and are set to make a bid.
Wolves were excellent in the Premier League this past season, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s men surpassing all the expectations upon their return to the top-flight last year. The Midlands club have punched above their weight and a seventh-placed finish in the 2018/19 campaign means they’ll be playing in the Europa League qualifiers. All in all, it’ll be an incredible achievement if they manage to get into the group stages of the competition.
But to break into the top six next term, Wolves will need a few additions in the summer transfer window. The Wanderers need more firepower in their attack to ease the burden from the shoulders of Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota.
The Midlands outfit are said to hold an interest in Rafael Camacho and he would fit in well at Molineux considering the club have eight Portuguese players in their first-team, including the likes of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio. Santo has worked wonders with young players at Wolves and there’s no doubt even Camacho can thrive under the Portuguese tactician.
Camacho, the Portuguese youth international, has scored 12 goals in 20 games for Liverpool’s youth teams this season. He can play anywhere across midfield, although the teenager is most comfortable when deployed close to the strikers. That helps him influence the game in the final third and creating chances for the strikers.

The Portuguese starlet possesses pace in abundance, has exceptional technique and never hesitates to take on his man. Camacho’s spatial awareness at such a tender age is excellent, making him such an exciting player to watch. He is creative with his passing and possesses the vision to pick the right pass in the final third.
Considering Camacho’s undoubted talent, Wolves would make a shrewd addition by signing him for just £10m from Liverpool. Working under Nuno at Molineux could be a superb next step for the skilled Portuguese youngster to take in his career.
