Randy Orton vs The Fiend meet at WrestleMania 37 and a spoiler has been shared that could see a surprise finish

WrestleMania 37 is just a few weeks away and one of the big matches sees Randy Orton take on The Fiend.

Orton and The Fiend have been fighting for a while and The Viper burnt his rival and thought he had ended it all between them.

However, Alexa Bliss wasn’t done as she kept on prodding Orton and met The Viper in an intergender match at Fastlane 2021.

This was a setup by Bliss as The Fiend, now sporting a burned look, made his shock return and cost Orton the match.

The pinfall of the match also caught the ire of Orton’s wife, Kim, but there has been a lot going on behind the scenes.

Orton and The Fiend are set to meet at WrestleMania 37 and many believe this is going to be another cinematic match.

The Fiend and John Cena put on quite a show in the previous WrestleMania while The Undertaker also had a special cinematic match against AJ Styles.

However, WWE could be having some different plans, according to Billy Bhatti.

No cinematic match between Randy Orton and The Fiend

Bhatti was speaking with Vince Russo on The Nitty Gritty Dirt Show. Bhatti claimed that Orton vs Fiend won’t be a cinematic match in front of the crowd but the clash will be a squash.

The cinematic match is being saved for another show to get more fans hooked into it (h/t Wrestling Edge):

“WWE are looking at postponing the cinematic match that they were supposed to have with Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt and are simply looking at a big entrance for the live crowd followed by a squash match!

“(They’ll be) saving the cinematic match for the Money In The Bank pay-per-view in the Thunderdome setting because they will need extra hooks for the show.”

This finish would be a bit of a surprise but it does make some sense. A squash match could continue this rivalry for a while and it is to be seen what happens with Bliss also in the mix.
