CM Punk’s wife AJ Lee to make her in-ring return?

The former WWE Diva’s champion cleared the rumors on her in-ring return

The 34-year is often regarded as the person who paved the way for the women’s revolution in WWE. AJ Lee‘s influence and contribution towards pro-wrestling are often hailed as one of the greatest. Her success story in WWE is a remarkable one. It has been speculated for a long time that she would follow in her husband’s footsteps and make her in-ring return soon.

She hung up her boots back in 2015 but stated that she would be back last year. While speaking to Freddie Prinze Jr on iHeart Radio’s Wrestling With Freddie, Lee revealed that she has a few opportunities to make it back to the squared circle. However, she also added that she isn’t sure about having the fire to make a return to the ring.

She stated, “Wrestling opportunities have popped up over the years and I’ve never been ready for that. I’m not sure if physically, the fire is there, but the art of it has always been there. When I was a fan, the women were my favorite part of the show and I would skip the guys matches to watch the ladies.”

While speaking to Freddie Prinze Jr on iHeart Radio’s Wrestling With Freddie, she stated that currently signed as an Executive Producer and as a commentator for the brand. She also provided more details about when we can expect to see WOW in the future and what inspired her to join. Women Of Wrestling is expected to make its debut in the fall of 2022.

She revealed on the podcast more about her involvement with the brand as,” So we’ll actually be shooting pretty soon, I think we’re maybe 60 days out, so it’s getting kinda close. We’re gonna be in syndication in the fall of 2022. Please check wowe.com for your local listings. It’s also on the CWC app and Pluto app. But you know, what really inspired me to join WOW, was the idea that it was women behind the scenes in every capacity and women in front of the camera in every capacity.

She discussed how she had offers for her in-ring return but she declined them stating her desire to compete was absent. She said, “And, to me, I love wrestling. I never stopped loving wrestling and this was the perfect way to rejoin the world of wrestling, but also combine it with what I’m doing now [as a writer] and what I have a passion for now. ”Wrestling opportunities have popped up over the years and I’ve just never been ready for that, I’m not sure like physically that something like that the fires there, but the art of it, that’s always been there.
