Daria Snigur

The young and impressive youngster from Ukraine finished runner-up in a couple of tournaments this season. Snigur made his Grand Slam debut at the US Open. She managed to pull off a shocking upset win against former world No. 1 Simona Halep in the first round. However, a whopping 48 unforced errors in her second-round match did not help her cause as Rebecca Marino ousted her from the competition.

Snigur comes into the tournament on the back of some fine form as she finished runner-up in the recently-concluded ITF 25 event in Petange.

Georgina Garcia Perez

The 30-year-old has not had a year to remember. She has played just 11 tournaments so far this season. The world No. 395 has not managed to reach the main draw in six of them.

Georgina Garcia Perez won a doubles title this year at an ITF event in France. She teamed with fellow Spaniard Cristina Bucsa and defeated the team of Chiara Scholl and Diana Marcinkevica to win the title. Garcia Perez will have to use all her experience to get the better of Snigur.
