Sabine Lisicki

The 33-year-old has dominated her way into the quarterfinals with two thumping wins in straight sets. In the round of 32, Lisicki faced sixth seed Sara Errani. The German veteran had to dig deep to win a closely-contested first set but in the second set, it was all one-way traffic. Lisicki won the match 7-5, 6-3.

In the round of 16, Lisicki outplayed Russian youngster, Alina Charaeva in straight sets 6-0, 6-3. Lisicki hit 6 aces and had a win percentage of 77 as she gave no respite during the one-sided contest.

Alycia Parks

The 21-year-old began her campaign with a hard-fought win against fourth seed Linda Noskova in three sets. Parks hit 15 aces but also committed 17 double faults en route to her 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 6-2 win.

In her second match, Parks fired in 14 aces and brought the double fault count down to 7. She had a win percentage of 82 on the first serve. Parks has an all-or-nothing approach when it comes to her serves and that can prove to be rewarding on some days but may backfire on others. Parks will hope that her lethal weapon can work wonders against Lisicki.
