Sixth seed Sara Errani locks horns with Germany’s Sabine Lisicki in round 32 of the WTA Andorra Open on Monday.

Experienced Italian tennis pro – Sara Errani won his first and only tournament of the season in the WTA 125 event in Contrexeville by defeating Dalma Galfi in three sets. She also made it to the WTA 125 event in Gaiba in June but eventually lost to the top seed Alison van Uytvanck.

At the recently-concluded WTA 125 event in Montevideo, the 35-year-old was ousted by Diana Shnaider in the round of 32. The former world No. 5 has not had a great season overall but would like to finish strongly.

Sabine Lisicki

The 33-year-old, who tore her anterior cruciate ligament last year, returned to action after eighteen months in May. She won her first match 6-3, 6-4 against Ena Shibahara.

Lisicki won her first main draw match on the WTA Tour since 2018 as a wildcard at the 2022 Bad Homburg Open. She defeated fellow German Tamara Korpatsch in the first round. Lisicki won her match in the second round against Greet Minnen before eventual champion Caroline Garcia stopped her run in the quarterfinals. With this result, Lisicki re-entered the top 500 in the WTA rankings.

Sabine Lisicki has a healthy 4-1 lead in the head-to-head scoreline against Sara Errani. In their last meeting in the 2015 Miami Open, the German came out victorious in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Errani’s only win against Lisicki came in their first meeting at the French Open.

Prediction: Sabine Lisicki to win in three sets.
