WWE 2K22 is still some time away but here is the prediction for the roster with some surprise names
WWE 2K21 was cancelled after the debacle that was 2K20. The 2K20 was riddled with bugs and glitches and the product still didn’t feel complete despite a lot of time being spent on it.
Further patches didn’t solve all the problems and even the character models looked half-baked and unfinished.
2K Games learned from this mistake and decided to can WWE 2K21. However, 2K22 should be coming up soon, even though there hasn’t been a confirmation of the release date.
The development team has been talking about the game and also what features could be part of 2K22.
There is again, no confirmation of what the game could be called, but WWE 2K22 could see a change since 2K21 didn’t see the day of light.
We will still go with the 2K22 convention for now, unless something comes up from WWE or 2K games.
WWE 2K22 roster prediction
Normally with any WWE 2K game the big stars that are currently on the books are guaranteed to feature.
Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman and Edge are some of the big names that should feature from the men’s roster.
For the women, we should see the likes of Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Sasha Banks and Bayley are the females who should be part of the roster.
2K22 could be something big from 2K games but there could be a lot of surprises in the roster too.
A host of NXT stars should feature now with Karrion Kross, Dexter Lumis, Shotzi Blackheart, Scarlett Bordeaux, Santos Escobar and Raquel Gonzalez all in the running for a spot.
We could also see the likes of some other rising stars from 205 Live also get a call-up. When it comes to the main roster, the likes of Damian Priest should be one star that could feature in the WWE 2K22 roster.
He has had a meteoric rise in recent months while John Morrison could see himself return to WWE games after he was signed a year or so back.
Others who should be included are Retribution members T-Bar, Mace, Slapjack and Reckoning.
Big names to miss out on 2K22?
However, for all the new inclusions, some big names could be omitted from the WWE 2K22 roster. The Big Show and Christian recently joined AEW and they were part of the 2K20 game.
While there hasn’t been a lot of backlash from WWE with the pair joining, it would be weird seeing them in the new WWE game.
The same goes for Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, they left WWE a while back and it is unlikely they will feature in the WWE 2K22 roster.
Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts is a legend that has featured on AEW and he too might be cut from the game.
Maria Kanellis also left WWE and might not feature alongside Zelina Vega. Sting too could be out after he joined AEW a few months back.
Brock Lesnar is a tricky one for now. He hasn’t featured in any WWE show since WrestleMania 36 but he still is part of the roster.
The WWE 2K22 roster certainly will be interesting to see and hopefully, fans get the largest selection of top stars ever in a WWE game.
