All the pro wrestling legends like Hogan, Flair, Austin, etc., are from the land of the U.S.A. Still, some guys came from foreign countries and took WWE to new heights in terms of popularity, consisting of some big names. Here are the 5 foreign wrestlers who found success in WWE.
1. Andre The Giant – France
Andre The Giant is the Eight Wonder of the World mainly because of his great size and structure. He is one of the greatest in the history of WWE. He had a billed weight of 520 lbs and a height of 7 feet 4 inches.
He defeated Hulk Hogan to win the W.W.F. Championship. Andre was the first inductee into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame (then W.W.F. Hall of Fame) in 1993, soon after his sudden demise. The French star was the solo inductee that year. He was a one-time W.W.F. World Heavyweight champion and a one-time W.W.F. Tag Team champion with Haku.
On 10 April 2018, HBO aired a documentary film called Andre the Giant. Andre also did a few films and television shows. He appeared in television shows like The Greatest American Hero, B.J. and the Bear, The Fall Guy, and more. He was one of the foreign wrestlers who made it big in WWE.
2. Edge – Canada
This Canadian wrestler came from nowhere to become one of the greatest and continues to do so. Edge has won every WWE title currently applicable to him more than once.
He has beaten the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Christian, Jeff Hardy, Batista, Kane, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guererro, Chris Benoit, The Big Show, Ric Flair, Mick Foley, Jack Swagger, Rey Mysterio, The Miz, Finlay, Khali and many more big names in pro wrestling.
Edge is also the winner of the inaugural Money in the Bank winner, not that he is a Royal Rumble winner. However, he is still in the WWE business dominating his opponents.
3. Trish Stratus – Canada
This powerful Canadian ruled the WWE Women’s Division from 2000-to 2006. She was in the time of a ruthless era where her competitors were Lita, Molly Holly, Victoria, and many more.
She won the Women’s Championship seven times and also won the Hardcore Championship. PWI voted her the greatest Diva of the decade. Trish Stratus made several memorable appearances in WWE after retirement and was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Trish Stratus also appeared on R.A.W. in 2009 in Tag Team action against Beth Phoenix and Santino Marella, teaming with John Cena. She has also guest-hosted an episode of Monday Night R.A.W.
4. Becky Lynch – Ireland
This Irish professional wrestler has become the face of the Women’s division at the current time. She is a four-time Women’s Champion, the four-time Smackdown Women’s Champion, and a Raw Women’s Champion. Lynch also held a Queen of Chaos World Championship and a SuperGirls Championship on her waist. Lynch also won the 2019 Women’s, Battle Royal.
Becky would become the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion in history, beating Sasha Banks, Lacey Evans, and anyone in the locker room that stood in her way. However, after being the R.A.W. Women’s Champion for a long time, she finally lost her title to Bianca Belair in WrestleMania 38.
Lynch has shown some fantastic guts and power in her performance. She is certainly a future WWE Hall of Fame candidate.
5. Chris Jericho – Canada
The current AEW star has shown his genius in the ring from time to time. He defeated The Rock and Steve Austin the same night to become WWE’s first-ever Undisputed World Champion. He is a multiple-time World Heavyweight Champion, WWE Champion, and a nine-time Intercontinental Champion.
Here is the list of guys he has defeated, Sting, The Rock, Austin Christian, Jeff Hardy, Batista, Kane, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guererro, Chris Benoit, The Big Show, Ric Flair, Mick Foley, Jack Swagger, Rey Mysterio, The Miz, Finlay and Daniel Bryan as well.
Jericho is regarded as one of the greatest ever Pro Wrestlers in the World.

- Owen Hart- One of the greatest ever and comes from the legendary Hart family.
- Khali- The Indian Superstar who beat the likes of The Undertaker, Batista, and Kane as well.
- Finn Balor- WWE’s Prince Balor was the first WWE Universal Champion and also won the likes of the Intercontinental title, United States title and the NXT World Championship a couple of times.
- Sheamus—The Irishman who won two World titles and a Slammy award all inside his first year with the WWE.
