Brothers Owen and Bret Hart come from one of the biggest families associated with Wrestling. They have spent several years working in WWE. They were both members of the legendary Hart Foundation stable.
The two brothers teamed up against The Quebecers at the 1994 Royal Rumble event, but Owen got frustrated after Brey suffered a storyline knee injury. This resulted in the match officially ending the match giving victory to The Quebecers which resulted in angry Owen attacking his brother resulting in a heel turn.
All this resulted in one of the top wrestling rivalries of the 90s as the two brothers engaged in a family feud which was never seen before in the WWE.
Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage were two of the biggest stars in WWE during the late 80s. They were put in a storyline to form a tag team known as the “Mega Powers” tag team.
At The Main Event II on Feb 3, 1989. Savage eventually got frustrated with Hogan who was getting close with his real-life wife Miss Elizabeth. Randy betrayed Hogan backstage in front of Elizabeth and attacked The Hulkstar which resulted in him turning heel and putting an end to the iconic Mega Powers tag team.
The Shield was one of the most dominant forces in WWE. They squared off against the formidable Evolution at the 2014 Payback pay-per-view once again asserting themselves as the most dominant stable in WWE.
After the loss Batista “quit” the company leaving Triple H and Randy Orton one man short. In the next Raw episode, Triple H came out and revealed that he had a Plan B. Seconds later Seth Rollins used a steel chair to attack both Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose and sided with The Authority.
This Resulted in Rollins getting a big push and becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 31.
Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty formed the beloved Rockers tag team that dominated the WWE circle for a long amount of time. They also won the tag team championships on one occasion in 1990.
But WWE decided to split them up in January 1992 as Shawn Michaels threw him through a window during an interview with Brutus Beefcake.
This move resulted in Michaels getting a historic push which eventually led to him becoming one of the greatest all-around performers in WWE history.
Stone Cold Steve Austin is probably one of the biggest names in WWE history and mainly of the attitude era. His rivalry with WWE chairmen is probably the greatest in the history of the Attitude Era.
Without Austin and the introduction of the “Mr McMahon” character, there’s a good chance that WCW would have won the Monday Night Wars.
Austin turned himself dark for the first time even though Vince was his long-term archenemy. During WrestleMania 17 he took a heel turn and attacked The Rock with a steel chair and pinned him to win the WWE Championship which cemented his place in an unexpected heel turn.
