Eva Marie shares incredible story of her ‘broke days’ before WWE on Instagram
Eva Marie returned to the WWE after a 4-year absence and is now a WWE RAW Superstar. Marie had been with WWE since 2013, after impressing at the WWE Performance Center but left the company to pursue other ventures.
The female star hasn’t wrestled since returning, but she did have one incredible story to share.
She uploaded a photo on Instagram, describing her journey from her younger days when she struggled financially. Marie says:
“Dreams come true, it may sound cliche, but I am living proof of this truth. Celebrating the SALE of our first home together 🔑 Photo 2 is from 3 years ago when we first bought the home (in photo 1 we tried to re-create the same pose from the first day of ownership 😹)”
“If you had told me eight years ago, when I was broke, sharing a bed with my friend Dee in a one bedroom apartment and working nights so I could go to auditions during the the day that in the not too distant future I would be moving into my dream home with my loving husband, working doing what I Love , And then selling our California home 3 years later and moving to Texas 😱I probably would have called you crazy.”
“It is mind blowing how quickly things can change for the better. It’s humbling to see how far GOD🙏🏽 has brought me and the heights I have seen through his grace. I am feeling extremely blessed, grateful, and the best type of overwhelmed,” she added.
Marie mostly featured on WWE NXT before her move up to Raw and then SmackDown. In 2017, she parted ways with the company.
However, in late 2020, it was reported that she re-signed with the WWE and introduced the ‘EVA-Lution’ gimmick. Her first appearance back on TV was alongside WWE NXT UK Superstar Piper Niven who beat Naomi in a singles match.
Will Eva Marie teaming up with Piper Niven be a success?
Eva Marie was scheduled to face Naomi after her long-awaited return. However, she introduced Piper Niven who made her WWE Raw debut in a squash match.
Niven and Marie are going to continue as a duo on RAW. Marie is now a heel and could have an interesting run in the next few weeks with the Scottish Superstar. Niven, meanwhile, is facing a tough test after her success in NXT UK to become an established star.
The pair looks like a sizzling addition to the women’s roster on RAW, but they will have a lot on their plate to succeed together.
Reactions have been mixed regarding the pairing too, and WWE has to do a lot of work to make this a success.
