WWE Fastlane 2021 sees some big matches with WrestleMania down the corner and here is the preview and prediction
WWE WrestleMania 37 is just round the corner but there is another PPV before the greatest show of them all.
Mania will have some fans packing the Raymond James stadium but Fastlane could have a huge bearing on who features in the next PPV.
Several titles are on the line and some storylines will get interesting after this PPV. Roman Reigns defends his title against Daniel Bryan and Edge is the special enforcer in this clash.
Edge and Reigns are to meet at WrestleMania 37 but things could take a crazy turn at Fastlane. Also, Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks meet at WrestleMania for the SmackDown Women’s title but they also have a chance of becoming tag champions.
Belair and Banks have had a simmering rivalry in recent weeks and this is where we kick off the WWE Fastlane 2021 preview and prediction:
It is a little weird how Banks and Belair are getting another title shot after losing their previous one at Elimination Chamber. However, here they are getting another crack at the title despite Banks defending her crown against Belair at WrestleMania.
Reginald has also switched sides and is with Jax, and he could play a huge part in this. Both teams have issues in them but Jax and Baszler should keep the gold.
Jax and Baszler have their problems but Belair and Banks could become combustible with WrestleMania coming soon.
Jax and Baszler beat Banks and Belair; Jax and Baszler retain titles
Seth Rollins returning to WWE can only mean great things and The Messiah wasted no time in targeting Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro.
While The Messiah attacked Cesaro, Nakamura came out in his friend’s defence and now faces Rollins.
There is no one to help Rollins out and it will be interesting to see how the pair do. This could be one of the surprise matches on the show but Nakamura could get the win given how he has been on a rise.
Nakamura beats Rollins
Riddle is the new US Champion and his first big test comes against Mustafa Ali, the leader of Retribution.
Retribution have targetted Riddle in the past and the rest of the crew could come out to help Ali.
Ali has been doing a decent job and this is his chance to impress. The leader of Retribution also has had his problems and he could get the win, but via DQ.
Ali beats Riddle by DQ; Riddle retains title
Apollo Crews has reinvented himself and become a great heel under some tutelage from Paul Heyman.
However, Big E is in the form of his life and the New Day member would not want to lose his title anytime soon.
This is going to be one of the best matches of the evening, but E should have enough to keep the belt.
E beats Crews; E retains title
This is a weird one, to say the least. Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss could take part in an intergender match, something we have seen happen in the past.
However, this won’t be like the Reginald vs Banks match we saw a while back. Bliss has joined the dark side and she could play some tricks on Orton.
The Viper has been coughing black blood in recent weeks and with Bray Wyatt/The Fiend also possibly in the mix, this match might end in a no contest.
Bliss vs Orton ends in a no contest
Sheamus and Drew McIntyre will lock horns in a no holds barred contest and this will get brutal.
The pair put on quite a show a couple of weeks back and their body bruises were there for all to see.
While Sheamus has been great since his return to WWE, McIntyre should be the one getting the win.
This is because McIntyre faces Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 37, and it would be a little weird if the Scot went into this battle on the back of a big loss.
McIntyre beats Sheamus
Edge is the X-Factor in this clash as the Canadian is the special enforcer in this match. Reigns had defeated Bryan after Elimination Chamber 2021.
However, this was only possibly after Bryan came out from a tough Elimination Chamber match. Edge faces Reigns at WrestleMania 37, but he could change the script by helping Bryan.
The Rated-R Superstar also needs to ensure that Jey Uso doesn’t cause damage, and this is a tough one to call.
Reigns should keep the belt but there could be a messy finish thanks to Edge.
Reigns beats Bryan; Reigns retains title
