Holly Molly is the first inductee, but who could join her in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2021?
WWE Hall of Fame special will be streamed live on Peacock on April 6, 2021. That is, of course, the week of WrestleMania 37.
It will also include the ceremony for the class of 2020 Hall of Fame, which did not have an event of its own due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2020 class consists of Batista, the New World Order (nWo), John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL), Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, ‘British Bulldog’ Davey Boy Smith, and the Bella Twins.
And we already have our first inductee for 2021. Shane ‘Hurricane’ Helms announced the news to Molly on the episode of ‘The Bump’.
So now, we look at 7 other wrestlers who could be inducted into the class of 2021 Hall of Fame.
There is hardly any doubt about this. ‘The Rock‘ is one of the greatest entertainers and personalities of all time. It could even be argued that he is a major reason behind WWE’s immense global reach today and it is about time he has name inducted amongst the elite.
He joined WWE in 1996 and went on to win every title in sight. Johnson called it quits in professional wrestling in August 2019, with his last appearance on the promotion coming in that year itself.
This is one that is not that likely to happen, considering his history with the promotion. His wife still holds WWE responsible for Owen Hart’s death at a PPV back in 1999. But suggesting his name for the spot in the Hall of Fame is still worth a shot.
Let’s hope that this is the year we see the Canadian have his name etched in WWE’s history. He made his name in the late 80s and is one of the biggest personalities in the acclaimed ‘Hart Dynasty’.
Big Show is one of the most famous names associated with WWE in the 21st century. The 7 ft 2 in giant has mesmerized fans with his sheer might inside the ring and his ability to pull off great promos as well.
Paul Wight, which is his real name, joined All Elite Wrestling earlier in 2021. AEW are WWE’s competitors and it is probably not reasonable to expect them to induct him when he’s still active and fighting in a rival company, but we still predict an induction only because he deserves it so much.
One of the most underrated names in the women’s division in WWE is probably that of Michelle McCool. Yes, she is The Undertaker’s wife, but her impact on wrestling exceeds that. She was also involved in the iconic Boneyard match between ‘The Deadman’ and AJ Styles last year.
McCool was one of the most impressive competitors in the first women’s Royal Rumble and is a 4-time champion. She is retired but has stated that she could fight Charlotte Flair in the future if a chance arises.
‘The Whole Dam Show’ did not have the most successful WWE career. Neither did he spend a lot of time in the promotion and also left on sour terms. But that should not stop the promotion from inducting him into the Hall of Fame.
And every class cannot have all headliners. And hence, someone like RVD can easily make the cut this time while others like Chris Jericho can wait until they are retired. He is one of the most popular and iconic performers during his time in the 2000s and this is one name fans would love to see.
This is one name that will be in the Hall of Fame. It is only a matter of time before WWE makes that call. The Undertaker is by far the most popular wrestler in WWE history, having countless iconic WrestleMania matches in a lengthy WWE career.
He officially retired in June 2020 and could be one of the names that are inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
