WWE King of the Ring 2021 bracket, match ups and more
The King of the Ring is probably one of the most legendary tournaments/events in the history of WWE. Dating back to 1985, it is a single’s elimination tournament held to achieve the title of, well as the name suggests, King of the Ring. The tournament was last held back in 2019 and WWE recently announced that they will bring back the legendary tournament this year.
WWE announced the official bracket for the tournament with some interesting match ups, have a look.
- Rey Mysterio vs Sami Zayn
- Cesaro vs Finn Baloe
- Kofi Kingston vs Jinder Mahal
- Xavier Woods vs Ricochet
WWE kicked off the 2021 King of the Ring with a match up between Sami Zayn and Rey Mysterio. Zayn was somehow able to upset the odds and beat Mysterio to also advance to the semi-finals of the tournament.
The second match up between Balor and Cesaro also took place on this week’s SmackDown. Balor was able to get the job done over the Swiss Superman and also secured a spot in the semi-finals.
Two matches recently took place on Raw, Kingston vs Mahal went against each other. However, Mahal was able to get the job done and will meet Woods who beat Ricochet to also secure his place in the semi-finals. During this week’s Monday night Raw, Woods beat Mahal and secured his ticket to the final of King of the Ring.
When is the final of King of the Ring?
Just like the Queen’s Crown finals the final of King of the Ring is also booked at the Crown Jewel PPV. The event will take place on 21st October in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The last King of the Ring was won by Baron Corbin aka King Corbin. Who do you think will be crowned as the King this year?
