Beth Phoenix lauded Jessi Kamea as the NXT star took on Dakota Kai
Jessi Kamea got another chance to impress on WWE NXT as she took on Dakota Kai.
Kamea doesn’t feature regularly on NXT but she seems to be a talent for the Black and Gold brand. Kai came into this clash as the more experienced star on NXT, and got the win in the end.
However, things weren’t easy for the Captain of team kick. Kamea had some great moves at the start of the match and this caught the attention of Beth Phoenix.
The WWE Hall of Famer might not wrestle anymore but she is doing a great job on NXT. Phoenix is one of the commentators on NXT and claimed that Kamea was creative in the ring.
That caught the attention of the NXT star and she thanked Phoenix for her kind words. Kamea also shared a sequence that she used in the match as she took Kai out in a corner:

Need more time in the ring
While Kamea has sights on NXT gold, she admitted that she needed more matches in the promotion.
NXT is filled with talented female athletes and Kamea has to ensure she is something different to the rest of the roster.
However, Phoenix believed that Kamea has a great future on NXT and wanted to see more of her:

Kamea has faced off against Taynara Conti, Mia Yim and Kacy Catanzaro since coming on NXT. Her clashes against Yim and Catanzaro took place in 2020, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for her.
