The team of Riddle and Randy Orton capture the gold again
Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) defended their tag team titles in a triple-threat match against RK-Bro and the team of Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens this week on RAW.
The match was a well-contested affair. Rollins and Riddle got the match underway. Owens and Rollins would take control of the initial stages of the match.
Seth and Owens had some great moments from springboard dives to cannonballs they pulled out all the stops to book their tickets to WrestleMania.
Orton was tactfully kept out of the match by the other two teams for a long time. Finally, Riddle tagged in The Viper and he wreaked havoc. First, he would hit a double DDT from the ropes to Gable and Rollins. He would go out of the ring and angle slam Gable and Owens on the announcer’s table. He would try to do the same thing with Otis but he turned out to be too powerful.
Orton though would have his way as he slammed Otis on the table courtesy of an assist from his partner Riddle. Otis had his moments too. He had his power game on point.
During the later stages of the match, Orton delivered a sensational RKO on Gable who attempted a moonsault from the top rope.
Rollins and Owens would take advantage of Gable as the latter hit a Stunner and the former delivered a Curb Stomp. As they were looking to go for the pin and capture the titles, in came Riddle and tossed Rollins out of the ring. Riddle covered a motionlessly lying Gable to secure the win.
RK-Bro began their second RAW tag team championship reign. Their first reign was ended by Alpha Academy who reigned for 56 recognized days.
Best RKO ever?
This is a very tough choice. Randy’s pulled off some jaw-dropping RKOs in the past.
The RKO he delivered to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania was spectacular. This was nothing short of it, if not better.
The WWE universe has been awed by the move pulled off by the veteran. Orton’s timing has always been pin-point when it comes to delivering RKOs.
Gable was perched on the top rope towards the closing stages of their match. Then came the moment that everyone has been talking about since. Gable went for a moonsault from the top rope but Orton evaded it and executed the RKO from mid-air. Fans in attendance gave the moment a huge pop.

RK-Bro will now be heading to WrestleMania as the RAW Tag Team Champions.
