Zelina Vega will fight Asuka at Clash of Champions for the Raw Women’s title

Zelina Vega showed off her singles skills on this week’s WWE Raw after becoming the No.1 contender to battle Asuka.

The Raw Women’s Champion, Asuka, will defend her title at Clash of Champions, and it is a little interesting that Vega got the shot so quickly.

Until recently she was the manager of Andrade and Angel Garza. However, the trio broke off last week with some believing that Garza and Andrade would go their separate paths.

The pair teamed up on this week’s Raw and won a triple threat match leading them to Clash of Champions.

Andrade and Garza take on the Raw tag champions, the Street Profits, while Vega will also have her time to shine.

Andrade reacts to win

Vega spent most of her time in WWE as the manager of Andrade. The pair met up during their NXT days and were going strong.

However, it seems they will follow their paths and El Idolo was quick to congratulate La Muneca after the win:

Mickie James lost to Vega this week, but the former champion had some great words for her rival. James is one of the most experienced stars in WWE and was in shock as to how she lost.

What a lot of people don’t know about Vega is that she is a former champion from her TNA days. While she didn’t pick up the singles title, she held the tag title and is an accomplished wrestler.

Vega also responded to the win and claimed that James was her toughest battle so far. However, she was more than ready to win the gold.

Vega also tried to get the upper hand later on in the evening after she attacked Asuka. This is certainly a huge boost for La Muneca, and it will be interesting to see how she performs at Clash of Champions.
