WWE 2K22 release will face delay because of the roster cuts
As per recent reports, the WWE roster cuts have lead to the delay in release of the WWE 2K22 game. This comes in as a bad news for many gamers around the world who have been waiting for the game. Under normal circumstances the games usually release a year prior to the year in the game’s name.
However, this year has been everything but normal for the WWE and the after effects can now be seen in the delay of the game as well. The game has been delayed for an extra five to six months after the initial expected date in the fall of 2021.
Why is the WWE 2K22 release delayed?
The delayed release of the game stems from the WWE’s recent roster cuts. As reported earlier massive roster cuts were made throughout 2021 when WWE released a lot of their wrestlers. Big names like Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt have also been at the receiving end of the company cut outs.
These releases have not only effected the company business wise but also have caused the WWE 2K22 to be delayed from it’s original release. As per sportsgamersonline.com the original draft game did have a few wrestlers who were released recently by the WWE. This has put the developers of the game working extra hours to make the necessary changes in the roster and characters of the game.
The game is now scheduled to be releasing in March of 2022. The fans will certainly hope the game is not delayed further than this.
