SummerSlam was sponsored by WWE 2K22 and the new games’ release date was shared
WWE SummerSlam was quite the show with a lot of great matches and surprises. The two major talking points were Becky Lynch returning to win the SmackDown women’s title and Brock Lesnar confronting Roman Reigns after the main event.
However, there was another surprise earlier in the evening with 2K sharing more details about the upcoming WWE 2K22 game.
2K, as most would know, decided to release a 2K21 game after the horror show that was 2K20. They worked for more than a year and released a trailer featuring Rey Mysterio a few months back.
Fans had been eagerly waiting for more information regarding the game and they got it during SummerSlam.
2K shared another trailer and if featured several stars while promising that the game would come out in March 2022.
The tweet added that the game would feature new controls, stunning graphics and also a redesigned engine.
WWE 2K22 looks better than 2K20
2K20 was a disaster in terms of graphics and glitches. However, WWE 2K22 does look better than its predecessor.
The wrestler models look good and the latest trailer featured Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rhea Ripley, Ricochet, Bayley and a lot more.
Of course, the proof is in the pudding. 2K20 also had a lot of hype surrounding it before it was released and it was trashed by almost everyone.
2K have had a ton of time to work on this game and it is to be seen what the next six months hold for the fans.
The fans are craving more information regarding the game and what modes it would carry, and hopefully, this game lives up to expectations.
