Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder were the latest participants on Chris Jericho’s podcast.

The AEW star has hosted several quality shows in recent months, and this was another great episode.

Ryder and Hawkins touched on almost every single part of their journey, with many highs and lows.

The pair claimed they were rivals at first simply because they looked a lot similar. However, they became friends after learning about their love of wrestling.

While Jericho is still one of the top stars in the world, Ryder and Hawkins are looking at newer pastures after being released by WWE.

However, the trio all had some fun memories of the Great Khali. While Ryder and Hawkins revealed they were friends with the behemoth, Khali’s finisher, the chop, wasn’t all that great.

A cinder block

Jericho was the first one to share how destructive the move was:

“Lemme just tell you, that chop, felt like a damn tree branch fell.”

Hawkins chimed in later and shared one incredible moment where they were destroyed by Khali and how much the finisher actually hurt.

“Me, Zack here, Kenny Omega were the newbz. We were the brand new guys and we were the security guards.

“It was Khali vs some guy, maybe Luke Gallows and we had to run in like the security and I was so excited since it was my first WWE thing I am doing.

“I could not believe how hard that chop was, it felt like being hit with a cinder block on the head.”

Jericho chimed in by taking a shot at Khali’s speed:

“A very slow cinder block.”

Khali is a former WWE Champion and was one of the top stars a few years back. However, his movement in the ring was limited due to his size, but his finisher also included crushing the skull while the opponent passed out.

Ryder and Hawkins had some great stories to highlight too, and it will be interesting to see where they end up next.

Jericho is a former AEW Champion and is enjoying a great run with the Inner Circle. Le Champion was one of the stars in the recent Stadium Stampede match and has been incredible as a commentator too.
