Former WWE wrestler ACH announces that he’s retired from professional wrestling
ACH (formerly known as Jordan Myles on WWE), posted a cryptic post on Instagram announcing that he has officially retired from professional wrestling. He quit the company back in 2019, amid claims of racism in WWE.
“No need for the dramatic or emotional word play. As of today I will officially step away from professional wrestling. Thank you all for the support and love,” his statement read.
ACH‘s history with WWE dots back to the incident where he condemned a t-shirt design given by the company.
Hardie is seen using various tweets including screenshots with Triple H, who wanted the design to be “more teethy.” In his words, the design hurts a particular community. He called it “a slap in the face to EVERY African American performer, fan, and supporter.” After his outburst, he admits to regretting the incident. He said:
“I’ll be honest. I wish I could’ve did things differently. I wish I would have just turned my phone off and just kinda let things die down but being so in the moment and angry, and feeling like no one’s listening to you.”
The former WWE star also shared several tweets in 2019 when the shirt design was released. He hit out at not only Triple H but also Vince McMahon.
ACH seems to have called it a day for the second time with WWE and pro wrestling. It is not clear where his future lies.
ACH began wrestling in February 2007. The star has performed for various promotions like WWE, ROH, Impact Wrestling, NJPW, and AAA. He joined WWE in February 2019 and went on to impress including a NXT Breakout Tournament win.
However after quitting WWE, he went on to wrestle in MLW, GCW, and NJPW. His announcement raises doubts on his career and if it really is the end for the 33 year-old.
