Kyle O’Reilly will face Finn Balor for the NXT title at TakeOver 31
Kyle O’Reilly will have the chance to become the next NXT Champion as he faces Finn Balor at TakeOver 31.
O’Reilly won a Gauntlet match on last week’s NXT and it was a bit of a surprise as he became the challenger to the Prince.
The Canadian is known for his tag team abilities alongside Bobby Fish and is a former NXT Tag champion. The 33-year-old is a former ROH champion but has won tag titles with Fish all around the world.
Nevertheless, there was a lot of celebration from Roderick Strong and Adam Cole after O’Reilly won his match.
The Undisputed Era members seemed confident of the Canadian picking up the title and Cole had a brilliant message for his teammate.
Cole is a former WWE NXT Champion and a triple crown winner too. However, he believed this was going to be O’Reilly’s time to shine:

Ready for his next challenge
Cole had the chance to reclaim the NXT title but he couldn’t get the better of Balor in their one-on-one duel.
This is a chance for the Era to get one of the NXT titles back. The faction held all of the men’s titles a while back but lost them one by one.
Strong also won a tag match which gives the Era a chance of facing the tag champions, Breezango.
O’Reilly has given it his all on NXT over the past few years. He has been an incredible member of the Era and it will be interesting to see how things go for him against Balor.
The NXT Champion is one of the best in WWE and the pair will meet on next week’s NXT. This could be O’Reilly’s chance to lay down a marker on Balor and the UE member has already called out the Prince.
