Adam Cole and Finn Balor will duke it out on NXT for the title next week
WWE NXT were planning to crown a new champion on this week’s show and had set up a 60-minute Iron man match.
However, four men were in this clash as they tried to get the most number of pinfalls during the 60 minutes.
Finn Balor seemed set to claim the gold with his second pinfall of the match. However, Adam Cole got his second pin just as the buzzer went. William Regal had to come out and solve the problem as both stars were on two falls on.
A battle will now take place on next week’s NXT which Balor vs Cole deciding the champion. Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were the other competitors in the match, but it should be interesting to see how the pair do.
There was one interesting moment where Cole and Balor celebrated with a “Too Sweet”, something from their Bullet Club days.
However, Cole sent out a message to Balor ahead of next week’s title shot. The former NXT champion was confident of getting his title back and joked he didn’t need an hour to do it either:
I’m tired. I’m sore. I’m confident that next week is my night. And it won’t take me 60 mins. Cya soon “prince”#AdamColeBayBay #TwoTimeChamp

A clash for the ages?
Cole vs Balor should be an excellent clash but it seems that WWE missed a trick on this NXT. While the draw could have been a way to garner more excitement next week, they also lost a lot of fans with this ending.
Many had tuned in hoping to see a new champion crowned. However, this will be extended for another week.
It will be interesting to see how the match goes and it could turn out to be one of the best of the year. Cole and Balor are both former NXT champions and one of them will be a champion for the second time.
