Adam Pearce has a new role in WWE which sees him get more responsibilities with the company
WWE has had a shake-up in the backroom staff in the last few weeks and one person making a step up the ladder is Adam Pearce.
PWInsider (h/t WrestlingInc) mentions that Pearce is now the Director of Live Events with the company, a role previously held by Hall of Famer Michael Hayes.
Hayes was involved in several creative angles, including the one involving Roman Reigns and the WWE Universal championship.
This move sees Pearce take up Hayes’ role while the latter is entrusted with responsibilities. The role of a Director of Live Events is also signalling WWE’s return to ticketed road events.
His role has traditionally entailed producing live events and coming up with the creative and line-ups for these ticketed road events.
Apart from Pearce, Jason Jordan has also seen himself get a new role as Lead Producer at the company where he will oversee all other producers at WWE TV tapings.
That’s a big bump up the ladder for the 32-year-old who takes the position from John Laurinaitis. Jordan was a wrestler for WWE a few years back.
But a serious injury in 2018 forced him to undergo surgery and find a career backstage with the company later that year
He seems to be doing a great job considering he had a hand in producing the matches for the WWE championship and the Intercontinental title at WrestleMania 37 and his promotion is proof of that.
As for Pearce, fans are also seeing a lot more of him on TV and with WWE doing away with the post of a General Manager on their show, it seems that Pearce and Sonya Deville will continue to wield serious authority on the screen.
