Adam Pearce posts emotional message as Adam Cole is brought up before Roman Reigns clash

Adam Pearce was the surprise winner of the gauntlet match to face Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble

Adam Pearce might be in the biggest match of his career as he faces off against Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.

The former NWA champion is an authority figure in WWE but has been caught in the wars recently.

He was attacked by Braun Strowman a few weeks back as the Monster wanted a shot at Drew McIntyre’s title.

Pearce then shockingly won the gauntlet match to face Reigns at the Rumble. Paul Heyman inserted the authority figure into the match as Reigns and Jey Uso interfered to help Pearce win.

This was a bit of a warning from Reigns to Pearce. The Tribal Chief wasn’t happy with Pearce setting up the gauntlet match. Reigns wanted to teach Pearce a lesson and it seems he wants to continue the pain at the Rumble.

A quality performer

While many don’t know much about Pearce, he is an acclaimed wrestler with a ton of quality matches under his belt.

WWE tried to remind fans of his quality and posted a few photos from a clash against Adam Cole.

Cole is a NXT triple crown champion and many believe he is one of the best in WWE. However, Pearce went down the emotional road with his message after this was posted.

He suggested he was happy being retired from in-ring competition but was willing to get back in again:

This was the same message he posted in 2016 and it will be interesting to see how his battle against Reigns goes.
