Former WWE Superstar AJ Lee recently appeared on The Sessions Rene Paquette and had some great things to say about Bayley.
AJ Lee hailed Bayley as one of her great wrestling friends and called her a magical person. She also called her the top woman of all time.
“There are these people who are so popular and I’m, like, who will explain to me, like, give me a quick history. So I’m learning and it’s been really inspiring to see how far it’s [pro wrestling] come. Luckily, one of my great wrestling friends is Bayley and she has always kept me in a loop. God, Pam is like the greatest. She really is [a magical person]. She’s my unicorn. I’ve always checked in with her, so I’ve kind of known stuff just through her over the years.” (from 11:00 to 11:26)
AJ Lee herself is a three-tine Divas Champion in WWE and was quite popular during her time in the company. Her gimmick of being a happy-go-lucky girl who could turn eccentric in a jiffy got over with the fans from the outset.
Bayley reacts to AJ Lee’s compliments
Bayley has been off WWE television as she is recovering from an injury. Although various reports have suggested that she is fit and her comeback might be around the corner.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion shared an emotional tribute to Lee on Twitter. Bayley credited Lee for being who she is at this moment.
“I wouldn’t be who I am today without that first conversation, without that one match, and without the years of shared pictures of Larry and Flex! Seriously….thank you forever @TheAJMendez. I hope to pass on the favor to many in the future.”
