Former WWE Champion AJ Styles shared a hilarious meeting between his son and Matt Riddle
AJ Styles has revealed his thoughts on the young talents in the company including his teammate, Omos and Matt Riddle.
Styles and Riddle are both part of tag teams on WWE Raw with Omos and Randy Orton respectively. Styles has been impressed with Riddle, while talking on the After the Bell podcast, he shared a hilarious story of his son meeting The Original Bro:
“There was a time where my son was with us on the bus. Matt [Riddle] came in and was talking to us, and him and I were talking about- we had a match or something. Well, Matt leaves and my son goes ‘Oh my god. He really talks like that?’
“I said ‘yeah, that’s really him dude’. He’s not really changing who he is, that’s just who he is which makes it a lot easier for him to be great at what he does because all he has to do is be himself.”
The Original Bro has this gimmick of being a stoner wrestler and some of his backstage antics have been hilarious as well.
Riddle has made quite the mark in WWE, after arriving on RAW. He won the United States Championship and has already shown glimpses of his potential. Riddle follows a unique style of wrestling that has gotten him many surprise wins including that against AJ Styles.
Riddle has also impressed with the partnership with Orton – RK-Bro. The duo are soon going to be in contention for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship. Omos and AJ Styles won the titles on the night of WrestleMania 37.
Orton has moved towards a tag team title push with Riddle, boasting good wins against other opposition. The two have exchanged finishers against Xavier Woods in consecutive weeks.
The RK-Bro is also slowly becoming a fan favourite duo, to the dissatisfaction of the champions. After AJ Styles called them out, it is quite certain that the two teams will be facing off in the near future in a Championship match.
Will the RK-Bro work cohesively to win the gold or will the champions continue their reign?
