Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton predict what’s in store for their inter-gender match at WWE Fastlane
WWE seems to be going all guns blazing for the upcoming Fastlane PPV, with an inter-gender match between Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton now being confirmed.
Bliss and Orton have been entangled in the weird psycho-horror storyline since December last year when at the TLC PPV event, the Viper burned down The Fiend in their Firefly Inferno Match.
Alexa, upset about her creepy friend-cum-mentor being burned, has been constantly targeting Orton, cutting some spooky promos while also making the 14-time champion vomit black goo (!).
Despite the bizarre nature of the entire storyline, WWE seem intent to push ahead with it, pulling no punches. So much so that, they have now booked an inter-gender fight between Bliss and Orton for the upcoming Fastlane PPV this Sunday.
This came about after Bliss goaded Orton into accepting her challenge by egging him to ‘kick her out of his life’ earlier this week on RAW.
Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton share what they would do to each other at Fastlane
Following the confirmation of the bout, Orton took to Twitter to share what he plans to do at Fastlane, uploading an image of him hitting an RKO on Alexa from a previous episode of RAW.
Replying in kind, Bliss shared an image of Orton writhing in pain inside the ring after she had launched a fireball into his face on RAW not so long ago.
WWE has refrained from booking inter-gender matches although, not so long ago, we did see WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks, beat Carmella’s former Sommelier Reginald.
Nonetheless, Bliss vs Orton at a PPV is a big deal. Quite how it ends up remains to be seen, but knowing WWE one can expect a screwy finish leading to The Fiend resurfacing to set up a match with Randy at WrestleMania 37 next month.
