Alexa Bliss reveals there were plans to team her up with Bray Wyatt before The Fiend

In an interview with ComicBook.com, WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss has confirmed that there were plans for her to team up with Bray Wyatt even before The Fiend character made its entry.

Alexa Bliss and The Fiend have been involved in a zany storyline for quite a while now. A divisive storyline that has seen the duo involved against Braun Strowman in the past and Randy Orton more recently.

Things have gone completely off the rails in the feud against Orton though, with The Fiend getting burned alive, Bliss, throwing fireballs at the Viper and what not. Nevertheless, it has become sort of hard to envision the two characters separately.

Bliss reveals Wyatt team-up plans

In the aforementioned interview, Bliss has confirmed that while she may have linked up with Wyatt’s Fiend recently, there had been plans in the work for them to team up in the past. However, WWE had her on a different storyline, which meant nothing happened.

“So years ago we pitched an idea to have me come in because I was doing the Harley Quinn thing, and he thought it would be a fun dynamic, but it never really got off the ground,” Bliss said. “They already had plans for me. This was right before my first title win, so this was leading up to TLC against Becky. So obviously WWE had other plans for me.”

Bliss went on to add that the team-up didn’t happen back then as it allowed her new character more background to build upon heading into the story with The Fiend.

“I’m actually really happy that I didn’t join Bray when I did, because I think the fact that Braun and I were Mixed Match Challenge partners. The fact that I was so confident in my character at the time and the fact that Nikki and I had a past and all these things contribute to the character now.”

This past weekend, on WrestleMania, it seemed like after months of teaming up Bliss turned on The Fiend, playing a role in his loss to Randy Orton. The outcome was met with a lot of criticism from the fans.

Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what’s in store for Bliss and The Fiend in the coming weeks.
