Alexa Bliss talks about her finishing moves and their evolution in WWE
WWE Raw Superstar Alexa Bliss has been a household name in the women’s division for a long time and boasts one of the most unique finishers.
Bliss, burst onto the scene after an impressive scene with NXT. She then moved to SmackDown as part of the 2016 draft, where she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Bliss made her name with her powerful array of moves and her unassuming persona.
In an interview with Classy Media, she discusses how her first finishing move was created. Bliss’ finisher was called the Twisted Bliss, which was a vertical moonsault from the top.
The dynamic move was an inverted barani flip in the air and landing on the opponent’s mid rib area to close out matches. She used this effectively in various matches and also was a key component in her varied arsenal.
Bliss also attributed this finisher to her gymnastics career, where she practiced these moves and landed on her feet. The decision to use it as a finisher, using a slight modification came inside the ring. She has also used this to win the WWE RAW and SmackDown Championships and have one of the most dominant reigns in the business.
After her heel turn, she joined Bray Wyatt’s alter ego The Fiend. The pair created havoc on WWE Raw and created some scary segments for the fans. Bliss also copied Wyatt’s move called the Sister Abigail. She used the move many times, even together with The Fiend.
Bliss is involved in a feud with Shayna Baszler and has created a new persona with a puppet named Lily. After betraying The Fiend at WrestleMania 37, Bliss has been involved in singles competition, with the continuation of her same Harley Quinn persona. It seems that she might be receiving a Championship shot soon.
There are also rumours of a split caused by Bliss between teammates Nia Jaxx and Shayna Baszler. This would culminate in a rivalry between the two or even involve Bliss.
The creative team has a job on their hands with Bliss’ development in WWE following her split from The Fiend storyline.
