Alexa Bliss is a former RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion. Alexa’s character has had a tumultuous time ever since her encounter with The Fiend. She has portrayed the role of a twisted and confused girl to perfection
Her acting skills have come to the fore. She has been lauded by the fans for her facial expressions and expressive eyes while playing the demented character.
She was omnipresent in the feud between Randy Orton and The Fiend Bray Wyatt throughout the major part of 2020 culminating at WrestleMania 37. At the grandest of them all, Bliss would betray The Fiend and that’s the last time we saw the latter in a WWE ring.
Bliss however stayed on and feuded with other women in the roster. She would terrorize her opponents and also use supernatural powers to distract her opponents.
She wasn’t getting any kind of push as the writers were unable to give her good storylines. Some fans even called her gimmick stale and demanded her older version to be brought back. Alexa’s major success came while donning the Goddess persona and fans urged WWE to bring it back.
Alexa carried a doll named Lily and said it was her best friend. At Extreme Rules PPV last year, Charlotte defended her RAW Women’s Championship against Alexa. Charlotte would go on to win the match after which she demolished Lily. Alexa left the ring area crying.
Alexa missed the greater part of 2021 after that match owing to sinus surgery. She came back earlier this year. She was undergoing therapy on her journey back to Raw.
Fans thought Alexa might return as ‘The Goddess’ once the therapy sessions are over. But after a few weeks of therapy, Alexa entered the Elimination Chamber match and there were no changes to be seen. She was playing the same character she was before her therapy began. It showed that WWE lacked proper plans for her. She hasn’t been seen in WWE after Elimination Chamber last month.
The Goddess tweeted: “Love you all. just wanted ya to know.”
Fans have got worried after seeing this tweet. They feel Alexa is disappointed with her booking in the company. They fear this might be her way of indicating that she’s leaving WWE.
