Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has claimed that ‘The Eagle of Dagestan’ would smash John Cena and his face up.
After deciding to hang up his gloves after beating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254, Khabib Nurmagomedov confirmed recently that he has officially retired from the sport of Mixed Martial Arts.
Since his personality and charisma goes beyond boundaries, there has been a lot of speculation about the Russian switching to a different sport, most notably WWE.
More recently, quite a few pro wrestlers expressed their interest in fighting the UFC lightweight GOAT.
Speaking about this in an interview with TMZ Sports, Khabib’s manager and Dominance Management CEO Ali Abdelaziz tore into those who wished to have a crack at the Dagestani. Referring to the wrestlers as ‘Soft Steroid Freaks’, Abdelaziz further earned the wrath of WWE fans, when he claimed that Khabib would smash (smesh?) John Cena in the face.
Cena hasn’t made a WWE appearance, since his loss to Bray Wyatt in the Firefly Funhouse Match at Wrestlemania 36. Despite being met with varied critical and fan reception throughout the course of his career, the WWE faithful will never tolerate someone talking smack against the man who made modern WWE, what it is.
Abdelaziz can be seen ridiculing the WWE wrestlers in the video posted by TMZ Sports, saying:
“Let’s be real, [if] any of these soft steroid freaks wanted to go ahead and have a wrestling match with Khabib and they wanna get beat up for real, they know who they need to call. He’ll go there and he’ll smash John Cena’s face. No problem.” [H/T TMZ Sports]
Widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, John Cena stands at 6ft 1inch. Though he outweighs Khabib by a significant number of pounds, Cena would struggle against the master grappler.
We all recently saw how Strongman, Brian Shaw who towers at a staggering 6ft 8inch and weighs almost 450 pounds more struggle against Dustin Poirier on the ground.
Therefore, it clearly will not be easy for Cena to outwrestle Khabib. First off all, will Khabib make a move to the WWE? Remember – Money is never the motivation for the 29-0 GOAT.
Do you think it was wrong on Ali Abdelaziz’s side to claim that his client Khabib would smash the face of ‘The Face of WWE’?
