Charlotte Flair executed a special elbow move at WrestleMania Backlash used by husband Andrade
Last weekend’s WrestleMania Backlash saw some big title matches. One of them was a triple threat match between Asuka, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley for the WWE RAW Women’s title.
Flair had convinced Sonya Deville to add her to the match which was originally intended for Ripley, the current champion, and Asuka, the former champ.
The match at Backlash was ultimately won by ‘The Nightmare’ but Flair had a chance to make her way back to the top by taking on the other loser from that match on the 17th May episode of RAW.
And during her match against the Japanese, Flair executed a special elbow move. This was a move used by her husband, Andrade, in the past and she shared a video of it, tagging him and writing “Papi knows best”.
Andrade, of course, left WWE back in March 2021 and currently fights in Lucha Libre AAA where he will challenge Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania XXIX.
El Idolo quoted The Queen’s tweet and said he can now use her figure 8 submission move, while also suggesting two names for the elbow move.
“Great move! Mami, now i can do Figure-8 [emojis]
El ídolo elbow? or The Queen elbow? @MsCharlotteWWE“
The Figure 8 is a very difficult move to execute in pro wrestling. The submission hold is a modification of the famous figure 4.
And it starts out as a figure 4 until Charlotte then contorts her body in a way to make it a figure 8, which, in all honesty, is a spectacular sight to see.
Guess this is a move we could expect to see executed by Andrade when he takes on Kenny Om… well, who are we kidding…
