Charlotte Flair tested positive for Covid-19 just weeks ahead of WrestleMania and her fiancé, Andrade, wished her a speedy recovery
Questions were being asked about why Charlotte Flair wasn’t being featured on WWE shows for the last two weeks.
The Queen was set to challenge Asuka for the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania. However, that seemed to go out the window when Asuka got injured thanks to Shayna Baszler.
Asuka did return to competition recently but there was no sign of Charlotte. The Queen missing from TV is a big deal but the former champion explained that she had contracted the coronavirus.
“I know everyone has been wondering where I have been. I tested positive for COVID and have been home resting
“Thank you everyone for your love”
This explained her absence from the ring but Andrade hinted at something big from The Queen.
Andrade was recently released by WWE but he believed that Charlotte could be back for WrestleMania season.
“4 more days, and you clear #mami I hope and go back to the wrestlemania poster.”
Charlotte had been taken off the WrestleMania 37 poster recently and many fans weren’t pleased with this.
However, the decision to remove Charlotte from the poster could have been due to her testing positive for Covid-19.
Charlotte would need to recover fully before competing, we wish her the best and hopefully, she will be back for WrestleMania 37.
WWE not wasting time with Asuka and her title
WWE didn’t want to keep people guessing over what happens with Asuka. The Japanese star was in action against Peyton Royce on Raw and easily defeated the Aussie.
However, Rhea Ripley made her Raw debut and made a mark. She challenged Asuka for the title at WrestleMania 37 and this match was made official.
While Ripley is a big name coming from NXT, giving her a title shot without her earning it is a little questionable.
Bianca Belair won the Royal Rumble and had a rivalry with Bayley before getting the Sasha Banks title shot.
It will be interesting to see what happens if Charlotte comes back before Mania. We could have a triple threat match, similar to what is being touted for the WWE Universal title.
