WWE 2K Battlegrounds features a diverse roster as it includes some legends and current stars
WWE 2K Battlegrounds is the next wrestling game from 2K as there will not be a regular WWE 2K game this year.
This was taken as WWE 2K20 was panned by critics and a new direction will be taken in this series. To satiate WWE fans, 2K Battlegrounds will come out and it features a more cartoonish and over-the-top gameplay style.
That might not be to everyone’s taste, but there are some big stars included in the game. The WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster is to feature 70 wrestlers with many coming as DLC.
The confirmed stars as of now include John Cena, The Rock, Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, Bray Wyatt, Sasha Banks, Edge, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ronda Rousey, Undertaker, Yokozuna and Becky Lynch.
However, WWE has a huge roster and some stars might not make the cut. Angel Garza is one of the up and coming stars on Raw and great things are expected from him.
The former NXT star was asked if he was included in the upcoming game, but he couldn’t confirm his presence on the roster:
While Garza might not be available on launch, he could be included via an update, something that 2K have confirmed.
They will add more content after the game releases and more stars should be included in those updates.
Currently, the game can be pre-ordered with the standard edition featuring Edge. The digital deluxe edition costs $10 more than the regular one and is set at $49.99. This costlier edition includes Edge, Ronda Rousey, Austin and The Rock.
It also includes 1100 bonus Golden Bucks, which is the in-game currency. However, reports have suggested that the game doesn’t feature any loot boxes and the Golden Bucks can be used to unlock characters and for customization too.
