Arjan Bhullar put the WWE and AEW on high alert after his statement victory at One Championship

Arjan Bhullar steamrolled Brandon Vera on his way to winning the ONE Heavyweight Championship at ONE Championship: Dangal.

The Canadian saw off the defending heavyweight champion in just two rounds, after a flurry of punches was just too much for the UFC veteran, Vera.

The 35-year old who was also a part of the UFC once, has a phenomenal record in his MMA career. He just has one loss out of the 12 fights he has fought, which came via. submission, at UFC Fight Night : Poirier vs Gaethje.

Bhullar then moved to the ONE Championships in the very next year, and in only his second fight he has won the Heavyweight championship. That’s some achievement!

At the post-fight interview, Bhullar sent a stern warning to the wrestling industry. He said that he has reached the pinnacle of MMA, so was coming for the pro-wrestling guys of WWE and AEW next.

Bhullar said:

“I’ve reached the pinnacle of this sport. Now, I want to attack the pro-wrestling industry. AEW,WWE, I’m coming for you guys next. Consider this a warning shot.”

This wouldn’t be the first time a heavyweight MMA champion would be joining a wrestling promotion

If Arjan Bhullar decides to hang up his gloves, or even make a momentary switch to the wrestling ring, he wouldn’t be the first MMA heavyweight to do so.

The first one to do it? The largely feared and former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.

Velasquez’s stay in the promotion wasn’t that fruitful. He made his debut only in October 2019, and by April 2020 he was released due to budget cuts arising as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Hence, Bhullar would be looking forward to making it count, in case he decides to join the WWE or AEW.
