Arjan Bhullar had called out WWE and AEW stars after his victory at ONE Championship: Dangal

At the post-fight interview, he had an interesting callout to make. He put the WWE and AEW stars on high alert, warning that he was coming for them soon.

He said:

“I’ve reached the pinnacle of this sport. Now, I want to attack the pro-wrestling industry. AEW,WWE, I’m coming for you guys next. Consider this a warning shot.”

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani of ESPN MMA, Bhullar opened up on his callout. He revealed that he wasn’t joking, and he completely meant that callout. The Canadian also opened up on his aspirations to be successful in both MMA and pro-wrestling.

Bhullar told Helwani:

“We had these conversations before. This is something we wanted to do. No one has done both at the same time. And I wanted to be that guy. I want to do both…So that wasn’t just me making stuff up or whatever…This step is planned. I’m calling my shot for a reason. I called out the WWE, I called out the AEW, I called out the industry. The reason being is plain and simple…I wanna pick a fight with these guys.”

Arjan Bhullar then revealed some of the names he would like to pick a fight with. He named Jake Hager of the AEW, and current WWE champion Bobby Lashley. Interestingly both have had their stint at professional MMA. Lashley in fact, was pretty successful in the Bellator.

Bhullar said:

“If I can go to AEW and get my hands on Jake Hager, an All-American wrestler, tough guy, blood and guts, why not? I wanna get my hands on him, I wanna pick a fight with him. If I get my hands on Bobby Lashley, Bellator fighter…I’ll pick a fight with him, I get my hands on him that way. I want to do it in the square circle with these guys. I’m calling ’em out.”

Bhullar is also friends with WWE star Jinder Mahal who is of Indian origin as well. It will be interesting to see if the ONE heavyweight champion takes the wrestling plunge.
