Asuka thanks Ric Flair for message after loss against Charlotte Flair on RAW

Ric Flair enjoyed the RAW epic between Asuka and Charlotte Flair this week

The 24th May episode of Monday Night RAW saw two contenders for the WWE RAW Women’s title in Asuka and Charlotte Flair take on each other – again.

The two are involved in a triangle for the championship belt with Rhea Ripley. But this did not involve ‘The Nightmare’ as she had her own match with Nikki Cross to deal with.

Nevertheless, Asuka vs Flair turned out to be a long, physical match with great show of strength and agility from both wrestlers.

After the match, Ric Flair shared a video of the fight which shows Charlotte dominating Asuka and congratulated both performers as they ‘STOLE the show’.

“Just Finished Watching This Again, And You Absolutely Are The Queen And The Opportunity! Congrats To @MsCharlotteWWE And @WWEAsuka! You Both STOLE The Show Again! WOOOOO! @WWE

Asuka may have lost the match by Flair reversing her lock into a pin, but she was more than glad to respond to The Nature Boy’s compliments.

The purpose of this match was, as it turns out, to remove Asuka from the title picture. After Ripley’s ‘defeat’ to Cross the same night, a Hell in a Cell match for the title was confirmed.

But that will be between Flair and Rhea, with the Japanese not included in it as of yet. The three fought for the same belt a few days back at WrestleMania Backlash.

Asuka and Flair has been overdone a lot recently. Fans would hope that this was the last of it they see until the HIAC PPV on 20th June.

As for Flair, it seems like the promotion won’t stop till she has at least one belt around her waist.
