Recent Backstage News on the future of WWE’s RAW and SmackDown Brand Split
Now that Roman Reigns is the WWE Unified Universal Champion, immense speculation that has been building up is whether should the split between Monday Night Raw and Friday SmackDown come to an end.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Daily Update, WWE is not planning on ending the brand split anytime soon, despite the title merger. It was noted that Vince McMahon could change his mind, but right now, that is not the direction he is heading. “right now, they are not merging rosters.”
The talk of ending the brand split or unifying the titles continues to be a discussion among the fans, and it became more vivid when The Tribal Chief sent The Usos to Raw to unify the tag team titles.

The Tribal Chief is expected to headline the event. However, he does not have any match announced at this point. Reigns attacked Shinsuke Nakamura on the post-WrestleMania episode of SmackDown. And He will be defending his titles against Drew McIntyre on WWE’s UK Tour, which will take place at the end of the month.
WWE recently added on this week’s Monday Night Raw that AJ Styles will be facing Edge in a rematch from WrestleMania 38. Some other matches are:
