‘I like it’ star Bad Bunny made his WWE debut only this year
Rapper and WWE wrestler Bad Bunny has been carving a niche for himself on the pro-wrestling scene. The Puerto Rican rapper made his WWE debut at the 2021 Royal Rumble, having been a fan of the promotion ever since his childhood.
He is already a one-time WWE 24×7 champion.
The talks of the WWE being fake have been rife. Especially after the advent of social media.
However, Bad Bunny was having none of it. In HBO’s recent episode of The Shop: Uninterrupted which featured guests like LeBron James and Jay-Z, Bad Bunny claimed pro-wrestling ‘is 100% real’, much to the amusement of the guests and audience present.
He was quoted as saying:
“It’s real. It’s 100% real. It’s insane.”
Bunny then went on to explain how they taught him to take hits the first day in training, which made him wonder how legends like Triple H, The Undertaker have been doing the same, bearing the pain, for an extended period of over 25 years.
One can easily call pro-wrestling fake and scripted. But the effort the superstars put in behind the scenes is largely under-appreciated.
Bad Bunny opened up on how he trained non-stop for three months at the WWE performance center in Orlando. He also revealed how he had to set music aside for a while.
“Three months. I moved to Orlando for three months, like, training every day. I did not record any songs, I didn’t do anything about music [either].”
Bunny is expected to continue his music career, as he has a concert tour coming up in the year 2022.
