Baron Corbin and Elias have been fighting for a few weeks
WWE wrestler Baron Corbin revealed on Instagram that Elias belongs to stay at his feet like the bottom feeders.
King Corbin shared a clipping of an attack on Elias, and it seems he is still not done with his rival.
The two superstars have been fighting it out in the last few weeks. WWE made the surprising decision to book Elias vs. Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 36. Elias got an early edge after slamming his guitar over Corbin’s back before the bell rang.
The bout proved to be a back-and-forth affair, so much so that Elias bent the rules in order to prevail. He rolled Corbin up and grabbed the tights for leverage as the referee counted to three.
Elias has gotten under Corbin’s skin in recent weeks by poking fun at him backstage and playing insulting songs.
Their rivalry reached another level last month when Rob Gronkowski got involved. On the second-to-last episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania, Corbin got retribution by pushing Elias off an elevated platform and onto the concrete floor.
With Sami Zayn’s Intercontinental Championship officially up for grabs, SmackDown hosted a tournament to crown the newest superstar to hold the title. Elias defeated Baron Corbin in the first of several matches and advanced to the semifinals.
The match between the two feuding superstars was a big one and saw both competitors pulling no punches. After costing Corbin a shot at becoming Mr. Money in the Bank, Corbin was extremely angry at Elias, and took his rage out on him throughout most of the match.
However, one slipup from Corbin cost him his chance at possibly becoming Intercontinental Champion. Late in the match, Corbin took down Elias and proceeded to leave the ring, taunting his opponent before smashing Elias’ guitar against the turnbuckle.
Once back in the ring, Corbin was quickly hit with a knee to the head before being rolled up by Elias, who had just enough time to recover and come away with a win.
